Gutters don’t always need full replacement. A sagging section, a leaking seam, or a downspout pulled away from the house can often be repaired quickly and affordably. At Wichita Roofing Pros, we provide gutter repair services for homeowners who want to extend the life of their existing system – or need a temporary fix while planning a full replacement. We repair all gutter types: aluminum, steel, copper, and vinyl.
Common gutter repairs we perform: resealing leaking seams and end caps, reattaching gutters that have pulled away from fascia (adding longer screws or hidden hangers), replacing damaged downspouts, unclogging downspouts with high-pressure water or augers, and patching small holes or rust spots. For gutters that are simply clogged, we also offer professional gutter cleaning.
We also handle gutter realignment – gutters that have settled over time and no longer pitch toward downspouts. We can add new hangers, adjust the slope, and ensure water flows properly. If we find extensive damage (multiple leaks, widespread rust, or separation at every seam), we will recommend replacement and provide a quote. But we never push replacement when a repair will do the job.
We clean the area, apply high-quality gutter sealant (Geocel or equivalent), and clamp until cured – a permanent fix for minor seam leaks.
If gutters are pulling away from fascia, we remove old spikes or short screws and install long stainless steel gutter screws or new hidden hangers into sound wood.
Damaged downspout sections replaced, elbows resealed, and attachments tightened. Underground drain clogs cleared with augers or pressure washing.
We check gutter slope with a level. Sagging sections are lifted, new hangers added, and pitch recalculated to ensure proper flow toward downspouts.
Seams that have opened due to thermal expansion or ice – we clean, dry, and apply permanent flexible sealant. Tested with water before leaving.
Outside corners (miters) are common leak points. We disassemble, clean, apply new sealant, and re-rivet – often saving an entire gutter section.
Downspouts blocked by leaves, seeds, or ice. We use a high-pressure water jet or plumber's auger to clear – no cutting unless absolutely necessary.
Small holes from rust or impact – we patch with aluminum flashing and sealant, or replace a short section. Larger holes trigger replacement recommendation.
We inspect your gutters from a ladder, identify all problem areas (leaks, sags, clogs), and provide a flat-rate repair price before any work begins.
If gutters are clogged, we clean them out first – debris is removed by hand or blower, and downspouts flushed.
Seams sealed, hangers added, sections realigned, downspouts cleared or replaced. Most repairs take 1–2 hours.
We run a hose through the repaired area to confirm no leaks and proper flow. All debris and sealant residue removed.
