Gutter Repair

Fast, affordable gutter repair – fix leaks, reattach sagging sections, replace damaged downspouts.

Wichita's Gutter Repair Specialists

Gutters don’t always need full replacement. A sagging section, a leaking seam, or a downspout pulled away from the house can often be repaired quickly and affordably. At Wichita Roofing Pros, we provide gutter repair services for homeowners who want to extend the life of their existing system – or need a temporary fix while planning a full replacement. We repair all gutter types: aluminum, steel, copper, and vinyl.

Common gutter repairs we perform: resealing leaking seams and end caps, reattaching gutters that have pulled away from fascia (adding longer screws or hidden hangers), replacing damaged downspouts, unclogging downspouts with high-pressure water or augers, and patching small holes or rust spots. For gutters that are simply clogged, we also offer professional gutter cleaning.

We also handle gutter realignment – gutters that have settled over time and no longer pitch toward downspouts. We can add new hangers, adjust the slope, and ensure water flows properly. If we find extensive damage (multiple leaks, widespread rust, or separation at every seam), we will recommend replacement and provide a quote. But we never push replacement when a repair will do the job.

What Gutter Repair Services Include

Leaking Seam or End Cap Reseal

We clean the area, apply high-quality gutter sealant (Geocel or equivalent), and clamp until cured – a permanent fix for minor seam leaks.

Gutter Reattachment & Hanger Replacement

If gutters are pulling away from fascia, we remove old spikes or short screws and install long stainless steel gutter screws or new hidden hangers into sound wood.

Downspout Repair or Replacement

Damaged downspout sections replaced, elbows resealed, and attachments tightened. Underground drain clogs cleared with augers or pressure washing.

Pitch Adjustment & Realignment

We check gutter slope with a level. Sagging sections are lifted, new hangers added, and pitch recalculated to ensure proper flow toward downspouts.

Common Gutter Repairs We Perform

Seam Leak Repair

Seams that have opened due to thermal expansion or ice – we clean, dry, and apply permanent flexible sealant. Tested with water before leaving.

Corner Miter Repair

Outside corners (miters) are common leak points. We disassemble, clean, apply new sealant, and re-rivet – often saving an entire gutter section.

Downspout Unclogging

Downspouts blocked by leaves, seeds, or ice. We use a high-pressure water jet or plumber's auger to clear – no cutting unless absolutely necessary.

Gutter Patching

Small holes from rust or impact – we patch with aluminum flashing and sealant, or replace a short section. Larger holes trigger replacement recommendation.

Gutter Repair Process

How We Fix Your Gutters Quickly

Step 1 – Diagnosis & Quote

We inspect your gutters from a ladder, identify all problem areas (leaks, sags, clogs), and provide a flat-rate repair price before any work begins.

01

Step 2 – Cleaning (If Needed)

If gutters are clogged, we clean them out first – debris is removed by hand or blower, and downspouts flushed.

02

Step 3 – Repair Execution

Seams sealed, hangers added, sections realigned, downspouts cleared or replaced. Most repairs take 1–2 hours.

03

Step 4 – Water Test & Cleanup

We run a hose through the repaired area to confirm no leaks and proper flow. All debris and sealant residue removed.

Residential Roofing FAQ

How much does gutter repair cost?
Most gutter repairs range from $150 to $600 depending on the issue. Seam resealing or downspout unclogging: $150–250. Reattaching a sagging section (with new hangers): $200–400. Replacing a damaged downspout run: $250–500. If repairs exceed 50% of a new installation cost, we recommend replacement – but we give you both options with transparent pricing.
Small rust holes or punctures (coin-sized or smaller) can be patched with aluminum flashing and sealant as a temporary fix. However, widespread rust or multiple holes indicates the gutter has reached end-of-life. We will patch it to stop immediate leaking but recommend budgeting for full replacement within 1–2 years.
Repair if: isolated leak, one sagging section, a single downspout damaged, gutters less than 10 years old. Replace if: multiple leaks, rust holes throughout, gutters pulling away in many places, fascia rot behind gutters, or gutters over 20 years old. Our inspection gives you a clear answer.
Yes – if gutters are clogged and that clog is causing the problem (overflow, downspout blockage), cleaning is included in the repair price. For standalone cleaning without repair, we offer that as a separate service starting at $150 for a single-story home.
Yes – if your existing gutter guards are damaged (mesh torn, brackets loose), we can repair or replace sections. For snap-in foam or brush guards, we often recommend switching to micro-mesh guards instead of repeated repairs.
